Daien-in大円院

Shukubo (Temple Guesthouse) Information

A temple that was opened by the Shoubou Rigen Daishi during the Enki years (901-923).
It was originally called Tamonin, but around 1600, it was renamed Daien-in and temple name with the conversoion of Muneshi Tachibana (Yanagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture). Originally located at the entrance of Kiyoshi Shinin Valley, the historical site of the Takiguchi entrance (Heike warlord) and lover Yokofue, famous for the Heike Monogatari. In Amano, in Katsuragi Town, Wakayama Prefecture, you can find the "Tomb of Yokofue". At the Daien-in cemetery of Ichino Bridge, there is a memorial tower for the fallen scholars, "Synchronous Cherry Tower" (fourteenth Navy flight preliminary student), and Daien-in is the bodhi-sho.
