Shukubo (Temple Guesthouse) Information
About 870 years ago, at the peak of Goshirakawahouou, a prestigious shukubo was placed by Ajarashi. It is located on a hill just north of the Ohara Nemoto Main Tower, the center of Koyasan, formerly the Imperial House, the royal treasure Benzaiten is designated as an important cultural property, and in addition, it is a gorgeous temple that is a suitable place to reminiscent over ancient cultures, such as the large hall with sliding door paintings.

Fusuma is a wood-framed sliding door and partition covered with thick paper.
It is movable in grooves and separates the rooms.

Otherwise, take a bus from No.2 bus stop bound for Okunoin-mae, and get off at Senjuin-higashi bus stop. It takes about 10minutes from the bus stop to Hojo-in temple by walk.
