Hoon-in
The founder of this guest house were Nyokai priests, who were disciples of Shinga Priests from Joganji Temple’s, it was rebuilt by the monk Ninga after it was destroyed by fire ( around 1190) and thereafter it was called Hoon-in.
During the Gyeong'an era (around 1650 C.E.), the name of the temple was changed to Hoon-in, in response to the order of Ninnaji Hoon-in. The is dedicated to Dainichi Nyorai, a symbol of Shingon Esoteric Buddhism.
