Yochi-in桜池院
Shukubo (Temple Guesthouse) Information
Opened on December 6, 1153 by Kakuhou Shinou, the fourth Imperial Prince of the Emperor Shirakawa, it was originally named Yochi-in, after several generations, in March, 1259 at the time of Gosagain Takano Miyuki, after a visit of the Imperial Prince’s remains, the cherry blossoms beside the garden pond were reflected in the brilliance of the the pond water, from that time on the shukubo was changed to Sakuraikein.
The main Buddha, Amida Nyorai, is a secret Buddha at the Buddha Bishamonten.

Otherwise, take a bus from No.2 bus stop bound for Okunoin-mae, and get off at Senjuin-higashi bus stop. It takes about 15minutes from the bus stop to Yochi-in temple by walk.
